The temporary electric line was connected on October 19th and the slab poured the 2nd week of November after the plumbing work was completed.
Our first actual day of working on the house was December 2nd. It was a nice day to work – a little on the cool side and cloudy to start, but the sun came out by early afternoon. Several members of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority brought out and served a nice lunch buffet of pizza, fruit and cookies.
There were approximately 38 volunteer workers who put in an approximately 182 hours of work. We were able to put up all of the exterior walls, which was a record for our chapter. This inside wall was also put up before the end of our workday.
