Fence Repairs at Campbell Street October 11th

Volunteers are needed to help make repairs at our Habitat homes this Saturday, October 11th.

Damage Report: The fence posts on the west side of the property moved slightly during the storm and the fence is leaning. We will need to brace up the fence to re-plumb and re-cement the posts.

6-8 volunteers are needed. Meet at 5422 Campbell at 9 a.m. We should be done around noon.

Hurricane Ike – Repair Day October 4th

Hurricane Ike blustered through the Gulf Coast nearly two weeks ago. Fortunately, our Habitat homes suffered only minor damage in the storm. Volunteers are needed to help make repairs at our Habitat homes this Saturday, October 4th.

Damage Report: The fence posts on the east side of the property moved during the storm and the fence is leaning. We will need to brace up the fence to re-plumb and re-cement the posts. Two pickets at the back of the fence broke after a tree limb fell on them. There are a couple of pieces of siding on the front of the house at the roof line that need to be replaced, and there are some odds and ends items inside the house that need to be fixed.

8-10 volunteers are needed. Meet at 5422 Campbell at 9 a.m. We should be done around noon or 1 p.m.

Habitat House #11 Dedicated

I apologize for not doing a better job of keeping up with posting – I had shoulder surgery at the end of March and returned to work the 2nd week of May. Time kind of got away from me. For those that know me, that isn’t much of a surprise.

We dedicated the home on Saturday, July 19th. It was a very warm, but nice day. The family moved in about 2 weeks later. Check out the photos on our Flickr Site
